I’m not sure how it escaped my notice but I completely missed the beginning of the annual 30 days of Cycling. #30daysofcycling. Also known as 30 days of Biking.
So now I’m playing catch up and will extend my personal effort into the first six days of May to make up for my tardy start.
This is a challenge right in my wheelhouse. If you know me, I’m a big advocate for cycling in urban and suburban settings as a viable alternative transportation method. So anything that gets people out in their community, riding more often, is a good thing.
I’m not sure where it started or who keeps it going but every spring the month of April is used to get people into the biking rhythm again and say goodbye to winter. There’s a vibrant crew on Xitter that records their efforts and posts photos of their personal journey using the hashtags #30daysofbiking #30daysofcycling. They’re great for encouraging your own quest.
I did it last year and managed to fit at least a ride around the block for the full 30 days of April 2023.
You pledge to ride your bike at least once a day for the month of April. Even if you miss the start like me, you can start anytime and pedal a little bit everyday.
An apology for the lack of graphics. Substack is having a moment and my photos won’t upload at the moment. If possible, I’ll edit this later when the bug is fixed.
HEY! Did you help with my survey? It’s about wine. Check it out here:
Can You Help Me With Some Questions?
I’m putting together a new concept for a wine purchasing association and would appreciate your feedback on a few topics. Your answers will help me build the concept from an idea into a working model. If you know anyone who might be interested in participating in this survey, here’s a link to send them:
